Nourishing Young Minds
At The British School of Amsterdam, we believe that healthy, nutritious food is fundamental to a student's wellbeing and academic success. We are proud to partner with Compass and their premier education catering brand, Lodestone House.
As the very first school outside of the United Kingdom to partner with Lodestone House, we are thrilled to bring a high-quality dining experience of the highest British standard directly to our campus.
Lodestone House operates across multiple premium schools in the UK, delivering exceptional culinary standards tailored specifically for growing children.
Fresh & Nutritious
Every meal is freshly prepared on-site at the BSA campus, prioritising high-quality ingredients and balanced nutrition.
Varied & Inspiring Menus
Rotating, seasonal menus encourage healthy eating habits while introducing students to diverse, delicious flavours.

By pairing high-grade British catering standards with local, fresh ingredients, our dining programme ensures your child receives the fuel they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. From bright, inviting lunchroom spaces to dedicated catering staff, every detail is designed to make lunchtime an enjoyable, community-focused part of the school day.
Note for current BSA families: Detailed daily menus, nutritional breakdowns, and lunch ordering portals can be accessed directly via the app (Kanpla).
We aim to be a ‘nut-free’ school
The BSA aims to provide a safe and healthy learning environment for all students and staff. While striving to be a nut-free school, complete guarantees cannot be given.
The BSA informs suppliers, staff, students, and parents/guardians about the school’s mission, by instructing catering providers, and providing guidelines in the handbook and the school website.
However, it’s challenging to find products completely free of nuts due to potential traces. Despite efforts, the risk of nuts entering the school cannot be eliminated. Students and staff with allergies should not solely rely on the policy and should inform The BSA of their allergies and take necessary precautions.
