New Head of Senior School appointed

It is with great pleasure that The British School of Amsterdam (The BSA) announces Mrs Nicola Meikle as the next Head of Senior School. Nicola will begin her new role in August 2023.

Currently working as Vice Principal in charge of Teaching and Learning and acting Deputy Head – Academic of the Secondary School, at Doha College, Qatar, Nicola emerged as the candidate of choice for the Head of Senior School position from a rigorous recruitment process.

Nicola worked in London, Tokyo and Birmingham before moving to Doha, Qatar in 2014. She also supports COBIS as a Lead Improvement Partner, working with schools within the COBIS community, supporting them through accreditation processes.

Nicola is an outstanding teacher and an experienced, thoughtful and caring school leader. She has high standards in everything she does and is a role model for everyone she works with. Her ability to lead, nurture, inspire and empower people, along with her positive can-do attitude, her resourcefulness and immense sense of innovation, will make a tangible impact at The British School of Amsterdam.

My aim is to always support, inspire and empower staff and students and I am excited at the prospect of doing that at The BSA.
