It is therefore the best of both worlds when, as well as the quality of life, there is also a quality of education to match. Here at The British School of Amsterdam, you can both learn well and live well.
The British School of Amsterdam was created in 1978 when three families, posted for two years to the Netherlands decided to teach their children from one of their homes. The founding idea was that the pupils should not fall behind the British School system whilst overseas.
Fast forward and we now teach over 1,100 pupils across the school and are based in a world-class building on Havenstraat.
