When your child leaves The British School of Amsterdam a Term’s notice is required (as per the Conditions of Enrolment). The Deposit and School Fee for subsequent Terms can only be refunded if all of the following conditions are met:
- The online Notification of Leaving Form was submitted on time.
- All fees are paid.
- All extras have been paid, for example, learning support, trips, etc
- All invoiced amounts for siblings are paid.
Please note: refunds will be made to the bank account from which we received the original payment.
The School aims to pay refunds within 30 working days of end of the term in which a child leaves the school. If notice is received late the School will charge fees for the following term and the deposit will be retained.
Notification of leaving dates 2020-21
To leave during or at the end of the Autumn Term, notification must be received by no later than Friday 11 September 2020. If fees have been paid in full, the Deposit and two term's fees will be refunded.
To leave during or at the end of the Spring Term, notification must be received by no later than Friday 8 January 2021. If fees have been paid in full, the Deposit and one term's fees will be refunded.
To leave during or at the Summer Term, notification must be received by no later than Friday 30 April 2021. The Deposit will be refunded.
Only this online form will be accepted as a formal notification of leaving. Informing a class teacher or any other member of staff is not sufficient to notify the School of your intentions. Without a timely submitted online Notification of Leaving Form we cannot start the leaver and refund process.
