An essential one day course and National UK update, led by Early Excellence for EYFS leaders.
The quality of teaching in the early years is greatly enhanced by the knowledge of school leaders. This course will consider the key aspects of outstanding practice in the Early Years Foundation Stage and explore ways to monitor and challenge the quality of teaching and learning in this unique age group.
It has been specifically designed for leaders who wish to ensure that their professional knowledge of the EYFS is up to date. The day will support strategic planning and evaluation of this important key stage. It will look in detail at effective assessment, the nature of high quality teaching, the role ofthe learning environment and the critical significance of the Characteristics of Effective Learning.
This will be a highly informative and inspiring day when we will also addresscurrent headline news in Early Years such as OFSTED’s Bold Beginnings report and the findings of The Hundred Review into Reception Year practice.
